As one of the favorite holiday destinations in southern Thailand, Koh Samui offers a great choice of entertainment options. And as Samui boasts some of the best beaches in Thailand it’s no wonder the most popular “go-to” venues are located at the beachfront. Whether you are looking for a laid-back or lively atmosphere, rustic or hip setting, delicious Thai or western cuisine, you will undoubtedly find a Samui beachfront venue to suit your taste.
Check out some of the popular beach venues in Koh Samui:
Chi Samui

Chi Samui is one of Samui’s premier beach bar & restaurant. Opened in 2018 it overlooks the pristine white beach in Bangrak and serves up modern western and Thai cuisine together with hand-crafted cocktails. With a 25m salt water infinity pool, swim-up bar, beanbags, sunbeds, loveseats, sunloungers and swings, it is the perfect venue to relax, get a tan or party. There are weekly events which are very popular so making a reservation is recommended.
Coco Tam’s

Coco Tam’s is a cool and extremely popular beach bar located directly on Bophut Beach within the famous Fisherman’s Village. With plenty of beanbags on the beach, swing seats at the bar, cabanas, shisha and a large projector screen, it is the perfect relaxation spot to enjoy the balmy weather with one of their signature tropical cocktails. Definitely one of the top Samui nightlife attractions for both locals and tourists so be early for the best seats.
SEEN Beach Club

SEEN Beach Club is a relatively new venue for Koh Samui but is already proving a hit with its swanky 50’s retro theme. Located in the centre of Samui’s most popular tourist beach, the concept can be likened to a revival of the beach clubs of yesteryear. Pool parties often take place and with its’ unique architecture and decor it is a favourite Instagram locale. You can enjoy an extensive food menu of Mediterranean, Asian and American dishes.
Secret Garden

Secret Garden has been around for many years and is a well known and popular “old school” beach venue. Located on Bangrak Beach it is a small boutique style resort with a reputation of offering friendly service and excellent well-priced Western and Thai food. Perhaps one of the main reasons for its popularity is their “Sunday Sessions” with live music and jam sessions that began in 1991. Even the artist Mick Jagger once performed at Secret Garden…!!
